I have been arranging and composing for instrumental groups for 21 years, since my days in high school in Norman, Oklahoma. Though my initial commissioned arrangements were for competitive marching bands, I also have extensive experience writing for concert groups, and am starting a new phase of this side career as a paid orchestrator as well.
As a composer and arranger for concert ensembles, I have an increasingly active schedule, with pieces premiered in recent years by the Oklahoma State University Wind Ensemble, the Bixby High School Wind Ensemble, the Davenport North High School Symphonic Band, the Enid High School String Orchestra, and the South Central Oklahoma Band Directors' Association Honor Band. I am always available and excited to take on new commissions for concert groups!
I have written wind music for over 100 shows for competitive outdoor ensembles in Oklahoma, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia; marching bands performing my arrangements and compositions have claimed Oklahoma Bandmasters' Association Grand Championships at the 1A-2A-3A and 4A-5A levels, as well as a BOA Super Regional Class Chammpionship. In addition to competitive ensembles, I have also been asked to write arrangements for collegiate marching bands at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, the University of Kansas, the University of Arkansas, Iowa State University, East Carolina University, New Mexico State University, and Southeastern Louisiana State University.
